The US state of North Dakota hit a natural gas output record in January, as producers in the prolific Bakken formation work toward meeting strict flaring restrictions with the help of new gas gathering capacity, writes Julia Martinez.
Statewide gas output reached 2.72 million cubic feet per day in January, up from 2.65 MMcfd in December, according to preliminary data from the North Dakota Department of Mineral Resources.
