Houston-based rig owner Northern Offshore is on the verge of signing an agreement to charter two more of its jack-up rigs for operations in the Middle East, writes Xu Yihe.
Industry sources said that the two rigs, which are set to win contracts for drilling campaigns of up to four years, will likely be units being built at Chinese yard Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding.
