Norway is being warned that it must invest massively in its natural gas production sector, likely including a new pipeline from the Barents Sea, if it wants to maintain exports above 100 billion cubic metres per annum beyond 2025.
Highlighting the challenge, recent government data signal that Norway needs to replace 46% of its current gas production by 2030 to keep output up at today’s level.
