A potential Norwegian oil-worker strike was averted this week as one labour union reached agreement over pay, but another dispute still threatens to shut down mobile offshore units towards the end of this month.
The Lederne union on Tuesday accepted a pay accord for offshore personnel employed by operators on fixed platforms after a state mediator brokered a deal with the Norwegian Oil & Gas Association.
