National Oilwell Varco (NOV) is aggressively expanding its footprint in Brazil with the launch of a new flexible pipe manufacturing plant in the Port of Acu industrial complex in Rio de Janeiro state.
The facility consumed investments of about $300 million and is capable of producing up to 250 kilometres of flexible pipes per year.
Operations started last year, slightly behind schedule, but NOV Flexibles is not wasting any time and has already delivered the first cargo to Petrobras.
