Beicip-Franlab was awarded a C$854,000 (US$655,092) contract to develop a geoscience picture of the Sydney basin, with work to be completed this summer and released publicly.
The announcement of the study off Cape Breton was made on the heels of the province’s 2016 deep-water piston core final report, released earlier this week. Piston cores and slick samples were taken in the Scotian basin during the summer of 2016.
