Russian independent Novatek has lined up five Chinese yards so far to potentially take on engineering, procurement and construction of modules for its second liquefied natural gas export project in West Siberia, better known as Arctic LNG 2.
Sources said the Russian gas player late last month signed initial agreements with China Offshore Oil Engineering Company (COOEC), Bomesc Offshore Engineering, Penglai Jutal Offshore Engineering and China Petroleum Offshore Engineering as well as Wison Offshore Engineering.
