Novatek is aiming to significantly increase the amount of local content in the second and third trains at its proposed Arctic LNG 2 project, as the Russian independent starts building a construction facility in Murmansk to handle modules work, write Nassir Shirkhani and Eoin O'Cinneide.
The operator will contract the majority of work for the first 6.6 million tonnes per annum liquefied natural gas train outside Russia, chairman Leonid Mikhelson said at the Gastech conference in Barcelona this week.
