Russia's Novatek has asked Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev to approve new state support for its liquefied natural gas developments on West Siberia's Gydan and Yamal peninsulas, writes Vladimir Afanasiev.

A Novatek spokesperson confirmed an earlier report that the company would like import tax exemptions for overseas-ordered LNG modules and equipment for Arctic LNG 2, Obsky LNG and two other future LNG projects in the area.
