Abu Dhabi-based National Petroleum Construction Company (NPCC) is understood to be at the head of a very short queue aiming to win the main fabrication contract for the Umm Shaif oilfield expansion project off Abu Dhabi after submitting the lowest bid for the job.
The low bid put NPCC ahead in the tender race for the Abu Dhabi Marine Operating Company (Adma-Opco) work ahead of regional rivals McDermott and Petrofac.
