OGN will fabricate 18 pre-assembled units weighing 400 tonnes and pre-assembled racks.
The plant is connected to the Ormen Lange gas field 120 kilometres off the west coast of Norway.
Upstream reported in March that OGN had been awarded a letter of intent.
The 13-month project is set to begin in August and will help to maintain 600 jobs at OGN's Hadrian Yard on the River Tyne.
