Thailand and Cambodia have agreed to reopen negotiations on the overlapping claims area (OCA) in the Gulf of Thailand, which is believed to be prospective for hydrocarbons, in particular gas, writes Amanda Battersby.
Thailand Energy Minister Sontirat Sontijirawong said that he had already broached the subject with his Cambodian counterpart in September during the 37th Asean Ministers on Energy Meeting.
