Houston-based services provider Oceaneering has submitted the lowest bid in a Petrobras tender to contract the umbilical system to serve the first floating production, storage and offloading vessel to be deployed in the giant Mero pre-salt field in the Santos basin off Brazil, writes Fabio Palmigiani.
According to well-informed sources, Oceaneering edged out competition and is in advanced negotiations with Petrobras to be awarded the job.
