Brazilian offshore services company Ocyan has sent the semi-submersible rig Norbe VI for a maintenance overhaul at the Enseada shipyard, after the deep-water unit concluded its seven-year charter with state-controlled Petrobras, write Gareth Chetwynd and Fabio Palmigiani.
Ocyan, the oil and gas arm of Brazil’s Odebrecht group, still has five units working for Petrobras, all of which were contracted before the rig supplier ran foul of the oil company’s compliance procedures and suffered exclusion from the company’s vendor list.
