OEERA has completed the demonstration project's strategic environmental assessment and has submitted it to the Nova Scotia government for its final decision, expected by 2 June.
A parallel strategic environmental assessment report is being carried out by another party for the New Brunswick government and is due to be given to the province authorities by the middle of this month.
OEERA has recommended the tidal project be moved forward "in a cautious manner" to include research, monitoring and stakeholder involvement.
