State-controlled Colombian company Ecopetrol has secured exploration and production rights to an offshore block in Colombia's Caribbean Sea waters, the first such agreement since recent revisions to the contract model, writes Julia Martinez.
The company has secured rights to the 400,000-hectare Col-5 block in the Caribbean Sea, adjacent to the Purple Angel and Fuerte Sur contracts where US independent Anadarko Petroleum made gas discoveries in 2017.
