The investment arm of the industry organisation Oil & Gas Climate Initiative (OGCI) has committed $20 million to fund companies with new technologies or business models that reduce methane emissions in the energy sector.
OGCI Climate Investments, which oversees a $1 billion fund set up by 10 major oil companies to help mitigate greenhouse gas emissions, has invited companies to submit proposals, with winners to be announced in September.
