Trade association Oil & Gas UK (OGUK) has committed to resuming the voluntary publication of detailed data on North Sea oil and gas leaks, which was stopped more than 18 months ago, raising concerns from trade unions at the time, writes Rob Watts.
OGUK started publishing the data, which it gets from the UK Health & Safety Executive (HSE), after the industry came under attack for lacking transparency following the subsea oil spill at Shell’s Gannet field in August 2011.
