The 1-OGX-3-RJS well flowed between 19 and 20 degress API oil at a restricted rate of 3000 barrels per day. OGX plans to develop the field through horizontal wells and estimates productive potential of each well could be up to five times greater than that flow rate.
The test, which was performed in carbonate reservoirs of the Albian section of Waimea, was described by OGX as an important step for better understanding the reservoir and the development of future production projects in the southern portion of the Campos basin.
