Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi has asked Sherif Ismail, Oil Minister in the outgoing Cabinet of Ibrahim Mehleb, to form a new government as the former army general tries to introduce a more efficient administration.
The choice of Ismail as the new prime minister is good news for international oil companies, which have enjoyed good relations with the oil minister since he was first appointed to the post in July 2013.
