PAPUA New Guinea operator Oil Search is on schedule to drill the first of two appraisal wells in the Forelands region that, if successful, could underpin a small-scale liquefied natural gas project.
The Kimu-2 well will start drilling in Block PRL8 in the fourth quarter of this year and will be followed immediately by the Barikewa-3 well in Block PRL9.
