OLT Offshore LNG Toscana has been successfully operating a floating storage and regasification unit — the former Golar Frost tanker — at a site 22 kilometres off Livorno since December 2013.
The facility has an annual regasification capacity of 3.75 billion metres — about 4% of Italian demand — and can regasify up to 15 million cubic metres per day of LNG and store 137,500 cubic metres.
