Oman and Iran have demarcated part of their maritime border in the first such regional agreement in four decades.
The recent agreement covers a 450-plus kilometre section of the border affecting tanker and other shipping traffic near the Strait of Hormuz.
The border deal was agreed during a recent visit to Tehran by Omani Foreign Minister Yusuf bin Alawi, who also discussed a proposed gas supply line and wider political issues including the war in Yemen.
