Austria's OMV has signed an agreement to acquire a 50% interest in the exploration and production subsidiary of Malaysian energy company Sapura Energy, writes Russell Searancke.
Sapura Upstream (formerly known as Sapura Exploration & Production) has total net reserves and resources of about 243 million barrels of oil equivalent.
Its production operations are in Malaysia, and has a number of field developments in progress.
