Austrian operator OMV is proposing to start this year a deep-water exploration and appraisal drilling campaign in New Zealand's Great South basin, while a separate operator has been granted more time to drill the Barque prospect, writes Russell Searancke.
OMV outlined the possibility of drilling three exploration wells and up to seven appraisal wells depending on the outcome of the exploration probes in Block PEP 50119.
