OMV bought its Qatari assets in 2003. They included a 7.5% stake in the producing Block 12 Al Rayyan field and 7.5% of exploration Block 13.
At the end of last year, OMV's share of total output was around 1100 barrels per day. The two blocks are operated by US independent Anadarko.
OMV said the disposal was part of its upstream portfolio rationalisation.
