India’s state-controlled Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) has issued a tender to charter up to six offshore jack-up rigs on three-year contracts, writes Nishant Ugal.
Two drilling sources told Upstream that ONGC recently released tender documents to charter half-a-dozen jack-up rigs, with bids likely to be submitted next month.
“It’s a fast-track rig tender, and ONGC wants to finalise rig contracts by the third quarter of this year,” one industry source said.
