INDIA’s Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) has hit the market with two new tenders as it looks to charter three mid-water drilling rigs for its operations off the country’s east coast.
Drilling sources told Upstream that the state-owned company wants to charter two mid-water units in the first tender, which could either be drillships or semi-submersibles.
The first unit should be capable of operating in water depths up to 1000 feet and should have a drilling depth capacity of 6000 metres, sources said.
