Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) has launched a fresh tender seeking two deep-water rigs for drilling off India’s east coast.
The new tender was floated by the Indian giant after it recently cancelled a larger process in which it was seeking as many as five rigs, mainly for development drilling at its high-profile Block KG-DWN-98/2, sources said.
ONGC is said to be moving quickly with the new tender, in which it wants rigs for exploration drilling and work on the subsea development of its Vashishta and S1 fields, with bids expected to be submitted later this month.
