SEVEN drilling contractors are chasing a tender by Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) in which the Indian state oil company is seeking a high-specification jack-up rig on a three-year charter.
Sources said the seven interested contractors offered around a dozen jack-ups between them to ONGC when bids were submitted recently. However, the operator is only looking for one rig, they added.
