Upwards of a dozen drilling contractors preparing to participate in a tender by India’s Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) for the charter of five deep-water drillships or semi-submersibles are facing a delay of two to three months in the process.
Sources close to the tender process told Upstream that technical and commercial bids for the five drilling units were originally expected to be submitted this month but the operator has now delayed the submissions.
