India’s Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) is preparing to launch the tender process that will ultimately lead to the charter of a large floating production, storage and offloading vessel to operate on its $5 billion-plus KG-DWN-98/2 deep-water development off the country’s east coast.

Sources close to the tender process told Upstream that ONGC is gearing up to issue expressions of interest within weeks that will invite contractors to participate in a design competition that will lead to construction of an FPSO with capacity to process 90,000 barrels per day oil of oil.
