The US onshore rig count grew by another 14 units in the latest week to a total of 875.
US drillers added eight oil rigs in all in the week to 19 May, bringing the total count to 720, the most since April 2015, energy services firm Baker Hughes said. That is more than double the same week a year ago when there were only 318 active oil rigs.
