Operators on the Norwegian continental shelf are currently working on 18 major development projects, including several in the multi-billion dollar category, all of which are projected to start up before 2025.
Most of the projects appear certain to proceed, barring an unlikely scenario of the oil price remaining below $50 per barrel until 2020.
The lengthy list of projects in the planning phase in Norway shows that there is still — in spite of stubbornly low oil prices — a lot of work to be done in the country’s offshore oil and gas industry.
