Noble is planning to spud at least two more wells in the US Gulf deep before the end of 2011.
Once the semi-submersible rig Ensco 8501 has completed drilling Santiago, it will next move to drill the Deep Blue and Gunflint prospects — pending government approval, according to a Noble spokesman.
Elsewhere, Chevron has pencilled in three deep-water prospects it hopes to drill this year — Oceanographer, Moccasin and Coronado.
