Operators in the the East and West of Shetland areas are being urged by UK regulators to think about the “bigger picture” of long-term gas production in the region, writes Rob Watts.
Oil & Gas Authority operations director Gunther Newcombe told an audience of industry leaders in Lerwick earlier this month that companies have so far tended to focus too much on their own developments and have failed to properly explore the possibility of working more closely with neighbouring operators.
