London-based Ophir Energy's challenging Fortuna floating liquefied natural gas project off Equatorial Guinea may have hit another obstacle with suggestions that the Industrial & Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) is reluctant to participate in funding.

One well-placed source in Asia told Upstream this week that ICBC has suspended talks over possible funding, although a project watcher in Europe claimed, as Upstream went to press, that no such notice had been communicated.
