OPINION: Frontier drilling may be back on the menu for explorers following the downturn in 2014, but the industry appears to be losing the knack of unearthing elephant discoveries, writes Eoin O'Cinneide.

Although frontier play tests increased last year to 29 from 22 in 2017 and conventional exploration activity rose by nearly 30%, success rates have slumped, research outfit Westwood Global Energy Group said in its latest State of Exploration report.
