OPINION: Kenya has been intensifying pressure on neighbouring Somalia for presenting a map during an offshore roadshow purporting to have demarcated and even allocated blocks in waters it claims should fall within its own Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ).
Complaining to the UN Security Council and the African Union after withdrawing its ambassador from Somalia, Nairobi’s Foreign Minister made sure his counterparts in the UK and France were made aware that “Kenya’s territorial integrity was non-negotiable".
