OPINION: Senegal opposition politicians have called for an investigation into allegations by the BBC that President Macky Sall's brother Aliou and Romanian-Australian magnate Frank Timis had unjustly benefited from offshore licensing deals.

Party leaders, many loyal to ex-head of state Abdoulaye Wade, demanded the public prosecutor “unravel how fraudulent and corrupt contracts” for two offshore blocks brokered by Aliou enabled Petro-Tim and later Timis Corporation to control a huge gas resource in return for payments and access to future royalties nudging $10 billion.
