Norwegian operator Vaar Energi is optimistic about the future of its Goliat oilfield as it explores for additional resources in surrounding areas.
The Goliat facility has been plagued by a litany of issues since start-up of Norway’s first oilfield in the Barents Sea in March 2016 — with earlier shutdowns caused by power outages and gas leaks.
However, operator Vaar Energi says that the challenges are in the past and that the future is looking bright for the field.
