Nigerian independent Oranto Petroleum has completed an airborne gravity and magnetic survey over Block 3 in South Sudan, marking the first time since the country became independent that such upstream work has been carried out, writes Iain Esau.
Over March and April this year, China’s BGP acquired 7406 kilometres of data with quality control carried out by Getech.
The aim of the survey was to better define “depocenter and basin flanks”, said Oranto.
