More than 45 oil companies attended a Caracas launch, where state oil company PDVSA presented details of an offer featuring four fields in the Carabobo sector of the Orinoco belt.
PDVSA offered joint venture stakes in two fields located in the Carabobo 1 area, in another field located on Carabobo 2 and a fourth in Carabobo 4
Each field offers capacity to produce at least 200,000 barrels of extra heavy oil per day, to be processed by two 400,000 bpd integrated upgrading plants, both scheduled for completion by 2014.
