A second development phase of the shallow-water Otakikpo oilfield in the Niger Delta has been approved by a joint venture led by Green Energy, writes Steve Marshall.
According to partner Lekoil, the sanction follows a memorandum of understanding signed by the joint venture this summer with Schlumberger and an unnamed oil company for an infrastructure-sharing and drilling programme centred on a group of marginal fields in OML 11 that hosts Otakikpo.
