Russia’s Lukoil is aiming to bring a pair of domestic greenfield projects on line this year as the privately held player looks to stem natural decline in output at its core assets in West Siberia, writes Vladimir Afanasiev.

The company is set to start oil production from its offshore D41 block in the Baltic Sea near the Russian enclave of Kaliningrad “in the next two to three months”, according to its president, Vagit Alekperov.
