Petrobras started production from the Cidade de Mangaratiba FPSO at the Iracema South area, inside the giant Lula pre-salt field, on 14 October with one well.
The 4-RJS-647 well can produce more than 30,000 bpd of 30 degrees API oil, but it is understood that until a gas injector is connected and the re-injection systems are fully commissioned next month, output will be restricted to a third of its potential.
