India’s ONGC Videsh Ltd (OVL) has made an oil discovery at its operated CPO-5 onshore block in Colombia’s Llanos basin, writes Nishant Ugal.
The company revealed this week that the Sol-1 well on the tract encountered eight metres of oil-bearing sands at a depth of 2852 metres.
“(This) oil discovery in Sol-1 confirms the extent of oil pay further south of the block,” the company said.
