ExxonMobil and Total will be free to start exploration in two blocks off Crete after contract ratification in the Greek parliament, writes Kama Mustafayeva.
“Ratification is expected in the autumn. We hope it will be swift,” sources involved in the process said.
In July, Greece’s Energy Ministry announced a consortium comprising Total, Exxon-
Mobil and Greece’s Hellenic Petroleum (ELPE) as the preferred bidder in an international tender for offshore blocks west and south-west of Crete.
