Pakistan Petroleum (PPL) plans to invest at least $12.5 million to explore the Kot Sarang licence (block 3372-12), which covers about 665 square kilometres in the North West Frontier and Punjab provinces.
PPL will perform a 2D seismic survey over the acreage and then re-enter the Kot Sarang well.
A new exploration well is also to be drilled to a depth of 4000 metres during the initial three-year exploration term provided that a suitable prospect can be identified.
