BP and Kosmos Energy will seriously consider an onshore liquefied natural gas scheme instead of floating LNG to exploit their expanding gas resource base off northern Senegal, with a final decision heavily dependent on the results of the Requin Tigre wildcat.
Andrew Inglis, chief executive of Dallas-based Kosmos, told analysts that the Requin Tigre wildcat, which will target about 60 trillion cubic feet of potential gas, is set to complete early next year.
